Founded in 1896, Honiton Golf Club is a prestigious golfing institution situated in the picturesque town of Honiton, Devon, England. The club's founding members had a vision to create a golfing haven amidst the picturesque countryside of Honiton, Devon. They meticulously designed and developed the golf course, taking advantage of the natural terrain and incorporating its beauty into the layout.

We began as a nine-hole course. The founders, a group of passionate golfers, aimed to create a challenging yet scenic course that would attract players from near and far. Their vision became a reality, and the club quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional facilities and welcoming atmosphere.

In the early 1900s, as the popularity of golf grew, Honiton Golf Club embarked on an ambitious expansion project. The course was extended to a full 18 holes. With strategically placed hazards and undulating fairways that tested even the most skilled golfers.
